In the past two weeks, at least 15 women have come forward and accused comedian Bill Cosby of sexual assault or rape. Some of these women, like Kristina Ruehli, kept the assault a secret from their closest friends and family for decades. But now, she and others are speaking out. Ruehli sat down with CNN's Alisyn Camerota.
On social media, people are skeptical. Many have suggested the women are doing this for money or fame. Ruehli says otherwise.
"I don’t like to see these other women who had similar experiences called liars, and trashed in the media, when I know that I can speak for them."
Thank you CNN for covering this. The are of rape is still treated very backward and what happens. The fact that there is not a freedom to say NO, even after someone said yes initially, shows we have lots of ground to cover. Please address this, as to many victims of all rapes- from the most violent to the "changed their mind mid-stream" get made wrong, shamed and blamed. Yes there are young (and sometimes older) people that do not realize the power of sexual energy, flirting. We have allot to teach everyone. You covering this in the most truthful way will help kill the dragon of denial and so we can finally slay it for good.
I am so glad you guys pointed that out this morning, Machaela says that theirs been complaints from the public because New Day is raising the issue daily about Bill Cosby, And Cris Cuomo says why do we care so much about celebrities than we do those thats not a celebrities and when its a black man,, Well I glad you brought it up. Because I having been begging for the last year, Begging every platform that I could, I know the public is very sick of my post as I continuously beg for help, Machaela I believe that New Day should have shined a light on this issue, But how long do you shine it on a issue that can't be prosecuted or proven, It's pointless because he's not gonna admit it. And I don't believe he raped these lady's, But I truly believe he was a nasty black man using his power to get what he wanted, I believe this is no different than a episode of one of these reality shows, Black women are selling their souls for a shot in the spotlight, Or a record deal, Or maybe just to get a little closer to the top like K Michelle. And it worked for K Michelle, But its not going to work for all of them. I believe they just simply got played, because he didn't uphold his end of the deal, I also don't believe he even made a verbal agreement with them, I just believe he prayed upon White women who were seeking a better way of living through acting singing and so on, And who better to give them a boost? This man chose to marry a Black lady, not a White lady, And I believe he consciously made them his target, We all know that black women and white women handle situations totally different. Those women drugged themselves, You are in control of you, Why do we expect others to treat us better than we treat ourselves,
