Dick Cavett sat down with New Day to discuss his new book, "Brief Encounters: Conversations, Magic Moments, and Assorted Hijinks."
He says it came about because somebody pointed out that he had "an appropriate number [of stories published] to get out another book and hustle it and go on people's shows and pretend it's not 'plugola.'"
(Plugola? Is that spelled right?)
The stories, regardless of plugola, are fascinating. Cavett recounts experiences with the likes of James Gandolfini, John Lennon and more. Watch the interview for a taste of what's in the book.
