In today's edition of the "Good Stuff," a Michigan police officer buys a needy mom a booster seat instead of issuing her a ticket. CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
Officer Ben Hall recently made a traffic stop and spotted something that wasn't right in the back seat.
He noticed a small child in the car who was wearing a seat belt but was not in a child’s car seat.
Mom Alexis DeLorenzo had a booster seat ... but it was in her old car that had been repossessed.
Rather than give the mom a ticket, Officer Hall said "meet me at Walmart.”
"A ticket doesn't solve the situation," he said. "What solves it is the child being in a booster seat like she should be."
"He did his job and above and beyond that just to protect a little girl and to help a family that can't help themselves right now," DeLorenzo said.

this cop didn't do his job, and awarded someone for breaking the rule, is considered a hero? what if all those careless moms out there read this news and go do the same thing, in hope that they would be awarded a free car seat from this cop?
It is a sad state of affairs when we need to recognize an officer for doing his job because so many in his profession fail to do theirs.
I doubt she was that cash strapped, the bling she was displaying is worth more than a car seat.
This officer is a class act. This is what America is all about...helping one another and common sense.
I'm surprised though that Obama didn't giver her a car seat beforehand as he says his administration helps everyone.
Hmm...
A cop with common sense and a sense of compassion. More like him, please.
I saw a picture of the mom and she had fancy earrings, necklace and her nails were done with the fancy tips. I am not saying she didn't have money – she just did not have money for a car seat when she had so many things to by for herself.
I truly despise the police.. But this makes me doubt that stance.. If we only had more troopers like this righteous gentleman..
Oh yeah? A cop pulled me over for having a broken tail light, and gave me his.
