In today's edition of the "Good Stuff," a couple pays it forward and leaves a generous tip for their waiter, despite the fact they were given terrible service. CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
Makenzie and Steven Schultz recently left their waiter, Kyle Hanson, a $100 tip on a $66 check.
Was this generosity for glowing service and speed?
Just the opposite.
Though Hanson didn't mean to be awful, his restaurant was busy, and all of the other waiters called in sick, it still took more than an hour for the couple to get their food.
But since both have been servers themselves and they know how the restaurant business can be, they left the big reward.
On their bill, the couple wrote, “We’ve both been in your shoes. Paying it forward.”
The couple shared the story on Facebook to encourage others and it's been shared more than a million times.
