In today's edition of the "Good Stuff," an Iraq war veteran saves the life of a dog dying on the side of a highway. CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
Aaron Schneider watched as a beagle was hit by a car on a three-lane interstate in Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Forced to act quickly, Schneider darted through traffic and rescued the badly injured dog.
Schneider stayed with him for three hours, building the dog a make-shift stretcher and coaxing him through his pain.
The dog suffered from internal bleeding, broken ribs and a torn windpipe. Veterinarians said that, if not for Schneider, the dog would have died from his injuries.
The dog's owners have yet to be located so Schneider, who named his new four-legged friend Buster, plans to give him a home.
