Deaf Woman Finds the Dog of her Dreams
In today's edition of the "Good Stuff," a deaf woman finds the dog she's always wanted. CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
Rosie the pit bull was a shelter dog in Nebraska and she couldn't respond to workers there because she is deaf.
Tracie Pfeifle works at the Central Nebraska Humane Society and taught Rosie sign language starting back in January.
“We started using treats and putting the treat up to your face and saying ‘good girl’ with your thumb up and then she figured out that we were communicating with her,” Pfeifle says.
Cindy Koch, a deaf woman, says she always wanted a deaf dog.
When she recently found Rosie, she adopted her.
“I’m going to teach her my sign language, how deaf people communicate, she’s a smart dog, she can pick up fast,” Koch says.

I am so pleased to see the True traits of the Bully Breed being broadcasted! So often it is the ugly side of Human Failure that exposes these dogs to public scrutiny & breed bashing. Or worse yet, articles on horrific abuse these innocent dogs endure through human greed & abuse.
Its refreshing to see that there are those out there who still believe a dog is a dog is a dog!
Kudos to everyone that made Rosie's adoption possible, from the shelter staff to the adoptive mom!
May they live wonderfully happy for many years together!
