December Jobs Report Surprises Economists

74,000 jobs were added in December, reports CNN's Christine Romans.

That’s much lower than the 193,000 estimate of economists surveyed by CNNMoney.com.

The unemployment rate fell to 6.7% from 7%.

The November Jobs report was advised upwards from 203,000 to 241,000

U.S. Stock Futures fell slightly but are up 30 points one hour before the open
