In today's edition of the "Good Stuff," a financial planner helps 80 families pay off $20,000 in layaway debt. CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
We've identified the 'angel' as Greg Parady. He was in Walmart buying bikes for "Toys for Tots" when he overheard a family in front of him say they wouldn't be able to pay off their debts until next year.
That's when he reached into his wallet to help pay half of every layaway balance above $200.
"I can't believe (his credit cards) didn't melt he was running them so fast," said Walmart operations assistant manager Deb Davis.

GIVES MY FAITH IN HUMANITY BACK . THANK GOID FOR THESES ANGELS WALKING IN WORLD.
I'm so glad I found "the good stuff" segment. It is so great to hear about the good things people do. Allows people to regain faith in people. THANK YOU and Please please don't stop. And can we get a THE GOOD STUFF specific FB page?
The sad part is that it was necessary for him to do it at all. If you can't afford it, don't buy it. Your kids don't need loads of expensive toys that will instantly be broken or forgotten and I'm sure great aunt Martha will be fine with a box of homemade peppermint bark. Love is not shown by the price tag.
A true angel sharing his blessings!
Cheers Greg Parady!!!! May God Bless you and your Family!!! :). Thank you for your kindness 🙂
that is awesome. God Bless him!
Wonderful person. I will do the same as soon as possible. God bless him.
Thank you, Sir. You are person with a good heart.
What a truly wonderful 'Angel ' and it just shows you the kindness and love of a total stranger who made it possible to put a smile on a a little child who other wise would have had a sad and disappointed Christmas morning! You sir are certainly one of Gods angels, l hope the parents shall pay it forward in another act of kindness when possible. God
Bless All !!!
What a man! How can he be so kind hearted?
What a man?
Shandai! As surely as the God of Heaven and Abraham Liveth, I stir up the precious covenanted anointing of God on me and I implore the ORACLES OF HEAVEN and prophesy :
1. A release of great FAVOR, yes, favors over His job, favor with God, favor with man, and favor over all his investments in the stock market. Let the favor factor MULTIPLY his investments to the nonsense point! I call it DONE.
2. This man will not see DEBT for the rest of His life!!!, I command great financial abundance and treasure to be released unto Him and his descendants, great Promotions to be released.
3. He will be blessed NON-SENSICALLY and Overflow, just as what He did seemed Nonsense to take on others’ $20K unto yourself.
Yeah, it is so written, “Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."(Luke 6:38). Even so! I call it done, in Jesus’ name!
So this man moved with great compassion took on “ other people’s layaway debts” at Wal-Mart stores for about $20, 000 and made it His own debt-thus, it was not “surplus” money which satisfies Jesus’ criteria in Mark 12:41-44—since he paid it all with his Credit Cards. That is “uncommon” kindness without prejudice and He will receive UNCOMMON blessings! Because a man still reaps what He sows (Gal 6:7) AND God will be Good to those who are Good (Psalm 125:4).
WoW! The world needs more people like Mr. Greg Parady! What an amazing holiday spirit he has and such a heart filled with gratitude. A wonderful role model for all of us. Happy Holidays Mr. Parady!
Very nice ^_^ Good vibes 🙂 Love the good in the man! WoW! More blessings to the guy! Bless him..
It is a touching story about people helping people. There should be a lot more of that in this world, but at the same time this is the perfect example of holiday exploitation by corporations. Why do people have to go so deep into debt for a holiday like this, especially during times where people are falling farther and farther behind? The pressure on the people who are going into debt so deep so that their kids have a big christmas to the point where they will be paying for it all year + interest. My hats off to the person being a good samaritan for paying for presents and layaways, but I think this says a lot about how things are and how they are progressing towards deeper debt for everyone. Stop the consumerism and turn christmas back into a holiday where families get together, where the streets are quiet and peaceful, where the world has a chance to rest from the chaos.
What's with the blonde lady that kept scratching and yelling $20,000 at random? ha ha ha
WHAT a nice thing to do!!!! LOVE it!!!
