In today's edition of the "Good Stuff " a cheerleader uses her need for brain surgery to start a Christmas toy drive, CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
Savannah Day, 14, has a condition that's causing her brain to grow into her spinal column. What's worse, she needs to have brain surgery over Christmas. But Savannah does not feel sorry for herself.
Instead, she's using the surgery as an excuse to have a Christmas toy drive for the other kids in the hospital.
The story of this generosity has spread and, so far, they've collected some 1,500 toys.
The cheerleaders says, "Crazy. Like a toy factory. I just think about the fact of the toy drive and all that helps me get through it."
