Kiddie Cabinet Weighs In On Debt Ceiling

As there may be some progress on a short term solution to raising the debt ceiling, CNN’s Chris Cuomo asks some children at Immaculate Conception Elementary School in Queens, New York, how they perceive the situation.

Fourth grader Nicole Smith-Constant says, "If you don't pay your bills then like everything is gonna go up like for everything with your bills, then all of a sudden you live on the street and you'll be wondering, 'why didn't I pay my bills.'"

It turns out they have a good dose of common sense.

Just watched "Kiddie Cabinet" and a discussion on the war on terror. I was sickened by the line of questioning and the tactics of the interviewer. Remember that although out of the mouths of babes is a fascinating and charming sentiment, these are children, not meant to carry the weight of war. One day they might, if we continue choosing war instead of peace. However, right now, let them have their childhood and do not exploit them on television. I am ashamed of you.

Out of the mouths of babes! So 4th graders would be a better choice for Congress than what we presently have it seems!
