J.K. Rowling Writes New Movie On Wizards

Warner Brothers and author J.K. Rowling announce a new series of movies, the first based on a Hogwarts textbook, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them." CNN's Mark Istook reports.

While it's Rowling's first screenplay for the movie company, she teases fans in a statement saying, "The book is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the series, but an extension of the wizarding world."

She says the film is to be set in New York, 70 years before Harry Potter.

@martina – Anything is demonic to those weak in their faith.

Tell that to her two adult fiction novels that topped the bestsellers list at the same time. I guess if being an incredibly successful literary fiction, mystery, and children's fiction writer makes her a one trick pony, then yeah she definitely is one.

How are her books demonic? Is it because there is a constant struggle of Light and Dark, Good and Evil? Or perhaps that they are filled with magic? Didn't Lord of the Rings series and The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe series have all of these elements in them? But they were written by good christian people, so that makes them okay, right??

Is that why you read this article about her? Because you're not interested in her? If you're not interested in someone, don't spend time reading things about them. That way, your words match your behavior. A beautiful concept isn't it? I think so too.

Let me guess, Hogwarts is renamed to Snorglesnocks and Professor Dimbledorts loses the Stone of Random and hides it in Tizzletwarts lair, wherein lies the dragon Dragelsnitz.

I should write my own children's book. Give them super powers, especially the ability to fly away from their evil parents (or anyone else they don't like) and use words that a 1 year old British kid would use to name all of the places and important characters.

Tolkien is surely rolling in his grave..

When spewing inside info, like you apparently have, PLEASE type in bold large lettering: SPOILER ALERT. So I will avoid reading it. Tolkien? is that another Character JK created? Wow! that's awesome...she has done so much.

Please go write your own children's book. Seeing that you have a lot of time hating someone for apparently no personal reason at all. 🙂
