What would you do if you were a parent and you discovered someone you trusted making fun of your child online?
In Newport News Virginia, mom Melissa Jordan allegedly discovered workers at the Heavenly Haven Learning Center took pictures of her son Ethan, added mocking comments, and posted them to the photo-sharing site Instagram.
Two teachers have been fired and the center is now under investigation by Virginia's Department of Social Services, CNN's Chris Cuomo reports.
One posted photo is of Ethan, who has delayed speech development, sitting in a highchair with his usual smile replaced with a frown. The manager of the business wrote, in part:
"...thinking cuz sure can't talk."
Officials at the center say, "A Heavenly Haven's position on the actions of the employees involved zero tolerance, and the employee's have been terminated."
The company also apologized to the betrayed mom.
