Once a well-to-do, respected executive banker in Charleston, South Carolina, Chris Latham has traded his cufflinks for handcuffs. He is behind bars for allegedly planning to kill his estranged wife Nancy with the help of his live-in girlfriend and 3 others, CNN's Pamela Brown reports.
At a hearing on Monday, the judge declined to grant him bail after his attorney argued there's no evidence he made direct threats against his wife. In his first court appearance, Latham traded a chilling glance with her. (WATCH TOP VIDEO)
Nancy Latham spoke exclusively to "New Day" with her daughter Emily and attorney Matthew Yelverton to discuss her estranged husband’s alleged murder-for-hire plot and his not guilty plea. Nancy tells CNN’s Chris Cuomo that she believes the alleged plot has to be about money related to their divorce.
Latham says, “There are days when I think I’m living in some alternate universe.”
Adding, “The only think that I can wrap my brain around is that it had to be tied into our divorce.” (WATCH VIDEO)
