Hot Weather Exercise with Dr. Sanjay Gupta

If you must head outside to exercise, there are ways to stay safe and healthy. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta shares some tips for working out in the heat with CNN's Chris Cuomo:

  1. Sip, don't chug water
  2. Use your heart rate to measure body temperature
  3. Body weight divided in half = the number of ounces of water to drink throughout the day
  4. Every increase of one degree Celsius of body temperature will increase heartbeat by about 30 beats
  5. If you feel thirsty, you might be behind in terms of drinking water
  6. Start hydrating the day before you workout

    Hello Friend i read your blog. It is nice post. You are also doing very good job. I see your video where you suggest for good exercises. My friend David Chalfin is also a doctor in profession. He also suggest me same type of exercises. I really thanks you to share this types of healthy tips.
