Turn it Down! For Your Health

A new study done in New York found that loud music is making many of us lose some hearing.

"This is talking about fairly young people between the ages of 18 and 44," says CNN's Chief Medical Correspondent, Dr. Sanjay Gupta. "Those people who aren't using headphones on a regular basis, you have about a 10% rate of hearing loss. But if someone is using headphones on a regular basis, it goes up to about 25% of those people."

That comes out to about 1 in 4 young people who are describing hearing loss as a result of using headphones, and even worse, the numbers are going up.
