'New Day' Exclusive: Survivors Speak Out & New Video Shows Passengers Fleeing Plane

"New Day" is covering the latest in the crash-landing of Asiana Airlines Flight 214, including brand-new video of terrified passengers fleeing for their lives just seconds after the jet went down.

The scene is pure chaos as terrified passengers scramble to evacuate.

“Moments after impact, emergency chutes deployed from the plane,” CNN'S Miguel Marquez reports from San Francisco International Airport. “You see one person zipping down, then a stream of people running for their lives.”

Several emergency vehicles surround the plane eventually.

Two people died in the plane crash, and incredibly, more than 300 survived.

In a CNN exclusive, three young survivors from that Asiana flight tell their stories of what it was like inside the crash, and how they survived.

CNN's Sara Sidner has their story.

“Fifteen-year-old Esther, 13-year-old Joseph and 11-year-old Sarah Jang and their parents were all inside that plane,” Sidner says.

Sitting at the back of the plane, all five were hurt, but the entire Jang family made it out alive.

“When we all were reunited, my family and I, I was really glad," Joseph says, "so I started crying.”

Returning from a family vacation, Sidner says the Jangs had set out for a memorable trip: “The first time the children were going to South Korea for a glimpse of their heritage, but on the way home they ended up learning a frightening lesson of survival.”
