It's a word that shows hate. It was never allowed to be said in my family. We're of Jewish descent and the word "K***" was like the word "N****" used to describe a group of citizens that weren't like you. I remember an icon by the name of Arthur Godfrey who showed anti semitism, was loved by his followers and didn't receive much criticism for his actions. Times have changed and this TV icon is suffering the consequences of her actions.
Its quite obvious she said it, she admitted it, and was very non-chalant about it in the deposition. If she was so sensitive about it (now), then she would know Black slaves were broken, whipped, raped, and killed to the very word she responds, "Of course I did." It's a dirty, ugly word...period. And only until her empire is threatened, does she go on video to plead for forgiveness?!! People simply need to learn from this. Just because a person is a TV personality, has a southern charm, and cooks extremely well.....does't mean the heart isn't a bit dark inside. Its truly a sad situation, but as a African American male, it's not surprising.
