13-Year-Old Boy Kills Sister, 5, with Wrestling Moves

An unsettling story today out of Louisiana involves at 13-year-old boy who killed his 5-year-old half sister. The boy was a fan of pro wrestling and performed wrestling moves on his sister. The girl was reportedly "pounded upon" and "suffered significant intneral injuries," resulting in her death.  The boy is now charged with second degree murder.

Disturbingly, there are reports that the boy appeared to take pride in what had occured, and "showed no remorse." CNN Legal Analyst Sunny Hostin weighs in on this story.

I'm sure the 13 year old had to have noticed that his sister was crying, or screaming, prior her death. To say "his brain was not fully developed to that of an adult" should be a moot point. The fact that he was willing to ignore the fact that he was causing his sister great pain shows sociopathic tendencies. The fact that he was less than remorseful following her death concretes this idea. This generation of un-parented young people who are not taught empathy (and only care about what THEY want at any given moment) makes me very sad for our society.
