It's a "New Day" at CNN

It's a new day at CNN – the new morning show, "New Day," is coming to the network on June 17. Welcome to the "New Day" site – we'll be adding some new, fun, features over the next few weeks, but for now, make yourself at home.

Here's a look at what to expect from the show:

Hosted by Chris Cuomo and Kate Bolduan, with Michaela Pereira as news anchor, the program will launch Monday, June 17th. It will broadcast live from CNN’s studios in New York City and air weekdays from 6-9 am ET. As was previously announced, Jim Murphy is the senior executive producer and Matt Frucci is the executive producer of “New Day.” CNN’s John Berman and Zoraida Sambolin will continue to anchor “Early Start” from 5-6 am ET.

And more, from CNN's President Jeff Zucker:

“I've been looking forward to this announcement since I first joined CNN," said President of CNN Worldwide Jeff Zucker. “Chris, Kate and Michaela are a dynamic team that will give our viewers in America a new way to start their day. We were floored with excitement when we saw Chris and Kate together on screen, and by adding Michaela to the mix we feel we have something very special. We believe there is an opening to do news in the morning with a fresh, new voice."

Above, check out co-hosts Chris and Kate talking about the new show on "The Situation Room."

Michaela is the only professional on that set...why she is awkwardly inserted at the end of the table is bizarre. Kate makes a face every time she has to turn it over to her. Cuomo is also out of his depth. Neither are up to CNN standards. We need Soledad now. She and Michaela would work and send these other two out to cover parades or something. It's a shame...

I can't watch the show because you can just feel the tension between the co-hosts. Its obvious, even with their forced banter, that they don't like each other. Makes me unconfortable to watch. Didn't help having Chris asked Kate if it was OK for him to speak ....during one morning show. Talk about passive agressive. Not sure what you can do to fix that but they both look ill at ease with each other. That comes through to the audience ....

I just want to say that I think we should forgive Paula Deen. Let those who have never made a mistake cast the first stone!

VERY disappointed to not have Soledad on my morning news. I loved the Starting Point format, the panelists, the interviews with " tough questions" that address what Americans want to know. I still set the alarm to watch Berman, Zoraida& Christine Romans. Starting Point took the "reported" news from Early Start and delved deeper with the panel discussions. Tweets from viewers were responded to with the were made to feel like part of the discussion instead of just a viewer being reported TO. Very sad to see yet another program I enjoyed being replaced. The networks have done it over the years, now CNN. Having rotator cuff repair on 6/18 so will have the opportunity to watch the replacement show. Hoping I like it but still don't understand why Soledad & Starting Point had to be replaced.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about Soledad O'Brien and Starting Point. You're correct; CNN has made many significant changes in the past six months. While some of the faces have changed, CNN's commitment to you is the same. We want to bring you the best news programming possible.

To that end, you should know that Ms. O'Brien is still contributing to CNN. Later this summer, she'll have one of her new documentaries airing on CNN. We hope you'll tune in and share your thoughts with us about that programming.

We want to hear from you – good or bad – and encourage you to send your comments to CNN directly at

Thanks so much and do let us know what you think about New Day!
