Teacher Grabs Kindergartner by the Neck

Surveillance footage shows a teacher grabbing a student by the neck and pushing him against a wall in Ohio. The 6-year-old's parents are demanding the teacher be fired, but the school has only suspended her for 10 days! We asked Paul Callan and Joey Jackson, is this a fireable offense?

    I hope and pray she does not have children of her own. If she does, I would definitely show the video to child protective services and as the child's parent, I would file a lawsuit and a civil suit against this woman. How can the school district even think of keeping her on the payroll.

    Does anyone care to know what this child did to the teacher to warrant such treatment ?
    All you guys care about is putting blame on the teacher.

    When you as parents dont do your job right, your kids will definitely be a pain in the neck for teachers at school.
    Therefore,suck it up,Man up and play your role PATENTS !!!

    I live in Michigan but when I initially saw the video...I called the principal's office and the superintendent answered!! He said he was listening....and, seemed shocked the I would even suggest he resign!! He is the LEADER of the district and he was not knowledgeable enough to proceed without prompting!! OMG...what is this world coming to???

    The parents of this child put the child in the trust of Williams and the school district...and she failed miserably!! This is a clear violation of child privacy laws because the video went viral and his name was released. The Superintendent should have immediately called authorities, taken it to their school board and fired the principal (this happened under her watch), notified the Ohio Department of Education so that a Tenure Hearing could be scheduled so this teacher can be fired. Tenure and Unions are proving to be detrimental to the education of our children. This IS GROSS NEGLIGENCE AND CHILD ABUSE!!! AND IT'S AGAINST THE LAW!!! Professional educators have an obligation to treat ALL students and parents with dignity, integrity, and respect!! And, ALL students have a Constitutional right to receive their education in an atmosphere of respect and civility!! Ian Nelson's rights were violated and it's not OKAY. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! I am the mother, guardian and advocate for an individual with special needs!!! This is CRIMINAL and the parents should retain an attorney immediately (I hope they have). This is a tragedy for this school district and this community!! And, the arrogance and ignorance of their superintendent is appalling!! He states, this doesn't happen much here...like it's something new. Hello Mr. Superintendent....it shouldn't happen at all EVER!! This is going to cost their school district big time!! A suit against the district will result in a substantial monetary award and, when the parents finish with the district, the should file civil suits against all involved!! The parents should sue for damages...take the award and it will be millions...it will pay for all of their children's college educations!! Ian is 6yrs old and is probably experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome which will affect his future education. THIS TEACHER NEEDS TO BE FIRED...she has traumatized, bullied, and traumatized a kindergartner and we don't know how this will affect his future. AGAIN...THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW!!! It is criminal and a violation of his Constitutional rights!!!! And, she will never be hired in any school system again so they might as well solidify that and REVOKE HER LICENSE ALSO!!! THIS IS A ZERO TOLERANCE ISSUE!!

    This teacher apperantely has anger issues. She over stepped her boundaries as an educator by pushing a small child around, in my opinion as a mother I think she should be charged with child endangerment. She needs to be made to attend classes for anger mangagement. All of this while she is on a leave of absence from work, for misconduct pertaining to child endangerment......which goes into her file!
