Ford Reveals New Self-Parking, Self-Driving Car

Wouldn't it be nice if your car could park itself sometimes? That could be the future with a wave of new self-driving cars hitting the market.

Some models can even find a space and park without you inside.

Those are some features that Ford shows off in a new video for its self-driving car.

A host at Techbytes, Brett Larson explains that Ford is “bringing the ability to where you can literally get out of your car and say find a parking space for me and it will drive and find a parking space. And then, as you can see here, pull in to said parking space for you.”

Larson says, “Part of the technology is equipping the parking areas so the car knows where it can and cannot park.”

The upgrade may be more of many to soon be built into consumer cars.

“I think that there's a small market for it," he says, "but I think it's a piece of a puzzle in a bigger picture where it's going to be, we're moving towards safer cars and technology that keeps us safe.”
