Dad Wears Daisy Dukes ... And Other Great Lessons In Parenting

Scott Mackintosh, a Utah dad of seven kids, didn't want his sixth child Myley wearing super short shorts any more, so he did what any respectable dad would do.

He put on a pair of tiny Daisy Dukes to show her sometimes, short ain't so pretty.

You can see by the photos, with his full legs exposed and sporting a 'Best.Dad.Ever' t-shirt, this story was bound to go viral.

It seems his decision to use humor instead of punishment paid off.

Myley says, "It definitely showed me that my dad cares a lot more than I thought he had, if he would go to those lengths to look like that out in public and embarrass himself a little bit just to prove me a point.”

Plus she did say, “he rocks them.”

Here's 3 other times parents have gone the unconventional way to teach their kids a lesson:

Oh, twerking. When this high school junior twerked at a school dance, her mom gave her a scarlet T by making her hold a sign on a busy street that said she was being disrespectful.

One woman heard her daughter was bullying a girl at school and calling her a ‘slob.’  Mom made daughter wear thrift shop clothing.

This dad was not ok with the hate letter his daughter posted on Facebook. He took to Youtube, read the letter, and shot the computer:

Parents each have their own way of showing their children that they don't like the way they act, dress, or anything else. Some parents talk to their children about it and others show them like the dad who wore his daughters short shorts out to dinner to prove his point. I say that this is a little over board on teaching children lessons, but it does help teens see and get their parents point on how they feel about it. She even said, "It definitely showed me that my dad cares a lot more than I thought he had, if he would go to those lengths to look like that out in public and embarrass himself a little bit just to prove me a point.” She got what her dad was trying to tell her loud and clear after this.
